Project Details

The site of the Parish Life Center is bounded by two major streets, which provided a very limited area in which to build. The existing structure was a historic building in a historic district of Gastonia; the addition needed to complement the details of the original building. This project was completed in three phases. Phase 1 was the addition of a multipurpose gymnasium, offices, educational space, a commercial kitchen with seating for up to 400 people, meeting rooms, and an unfinished basement. Phase 2 included renovations to the existing educational building. Phase 3 was the connection of the new facilities to the original building with a wing that includes educational and administrative space and a brides room.
